Most trails are not little kid friendly, unless someone is carrying them, but the Pa’rus Trail and the first part of the Riverside Walk trail are paved and would be great for strollers. If you plan on going to the park more than a couple of times, get a pass.
There are many great places like Zion’s to visit while in the area. Zion’s park is about a 45 minute drive from St. George. Other area attractions that are close are Bryce Canyon National Park and the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. There are also a few State Parks in the area to visit such as Snow Canyon State Park , Gunlock State Park, and Sand Hollow State Park to name a few. There is a bunch more.
So here is the question and you must answer ALL parts in order to get it right as well as the proper order in which the question is asked. Here goes! How many National Parks are in Utah? How Many National Parks are in the United States? How many National Monuments are in Utah? In what year was the first National park opened? Which State or states have the most National Parks?
To answer this question simply put the number separated by a comma then the next answer separated with a comma and so on, until you get to the state and just names the state.
To answer these questions text me with your response. My number is 435-512-1945. I will post the winners sometime tomorrow. Along with the time of each correct response. AGAIN YOU MUST have the answers in the correct order when responding. So check it out tomorrow to see if you have won. Good Luck!
P.S. 1st place is a Camalbak 2nd place is a daypack with a water bottle by Swiss 3rd and 4th place get a hiking bottle for your next outdoor adventure.
Ok SO maybe it was much harder than everyone expected. There were only three winners but many close to having the correct answers. Most people only missed on of the questions. Here are the correct answers. Utah has only 5 official National Parks. The United States has 58 National Parks. Utah only has 7 National Monuments. The first National Park was opened in 1872, Yellowstone being the first. Both Alaska and California both have 8 National Parks.
Congratulations to Bryan Wilson for first, Cressa Yardley for Second, and Stephanie Thomason for 3rd.
This was a lot of fun to do and I had a great time learning more about our National Parks. I think after this class I will contiune to do this blog and have some trivia questions so we all can learn more about random things. What do you all think? Let me know if I should continue this.
Thanks to everyone who played along. Hope it was fun for you :)
